“Les Fleurs Du Mal” embodies emotion & creativity in paintings, drawings and sculptures
Close to Christmas and New Year’s Eve, Rebirth Beirut, in cooperation with the curator Muriel Asmar, is preparing to launch its new exhibition entitled “Les Fleurs Du Mal”, which is inspired by the masterpiece of the French poet “Baudelaire”. The exhibition brings together three artists: Carole Ingea, Fantine Samaha and Nicolas Baaklini.
The artworks embody women in all their forms and conditions, from portraiture to suggestive painting to sculptures, and bold shapes and colors that express the hustle and vitality of life.
In warm, autumnal and winter colors, the participating artists portray the most beautiful image of Lebanese art and creativity and the beauty of the body of women of all nationalities and in all situations.
The opening of the exhibition will be on December 14, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm, at the association’s cultural center in Gemmayze – Gouraud Street. And will remain open daily until December 23, from 12 to 7 pm.
About the exhibition, the president and founder of Rebirth Beirut, Mr. Gaby Fernaine said:
“As usual, our association continues to present Lebanese artists and distinguished talents to the public and to lovers of this type of fine art, which constitutes a tribute to Arab and Lebanese women for their courage and role in society, and we seize the opportunity to wish the entire Lebanese people a joyous season hoping that the new year will bring more happiness and blessings to all”.
Part of the proceeds will go to support Rebirth Beirut’s initiatives which previously included a series of development projects, most notably the lighting of Beirut’s streets, which amounted to about 40 streets and 5 main avenues in the city.
