Rebirth Beirut launched its new exhibition at its cultural space in Gemmayzeh, Beirut. “Dollarmes” the expo title, is done in collaboration with the three daughters of the artist “Stavro Jabra”, who for the past 40 years, reflected through his work the events in Lebanon, the Middle East and the world.
The opening was attended by a large number of people interested in arts and culture and will remain open until November 13th, 2022 from 5 to 9 PM.
Founder and president of Rebirth Beirut Gaby Fernaine said about the exhibition:
“Stavro Jabra was strongly present among us today through this exhibition, we felt that his works still emulate the present even though they are from the eighties, and this is ironic that the history of Lebanon is repeating itself unfortunately. I am very proud of the level of attendance and participation and we seek through remembering the past to learn from it.”
Part of the proceeds will go to support Rebirth Beirut’s initiatives which previously included a series of development projects, most notably the lighting of Beirut’s streets, which amounted to about 36 streets and 4 main avenues in the city.
