Dubai, 11 January 2022: To celebrate the start of the New Year with Free Fire players across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Garena has launched the ‘Number 1’ event, a new in-game campaign featuring Arabic megastar Mohamed Ramadan.
Free Fire players across the will be able to enjoy the event and claim a wide range of in-game rewards including the Egyptian’s signature dance – Maro Dance – and an exclusive Maro Parachute.
From today until 14th January, players can participate in a number of challenges as part of the ‘Number 1’ event, which is dedicated to Mohamed Ramadan and his Garena Free Fire character ‘Maro’.
Users who log into the game during this period can put their skills to the test and claim tokens for in-game missions. These can then be redeemed for nine different unique Maro stamps.
Once all nine stamps are collected, players can obtain the Maro Dance and Maro Parachute while also having an opportunity to win some exciting prizes including the Ruthless Jinx outfit, Royale Vouchers, and much more.
On top of that, there’s another reason for Free Fire and Mohamed Ramadan fans to get excited. A new social media dance challenge to coincide with Maro Dance has been launched.
Users will just need to use the hashtag #DanceWithNumber1 and post on
their social media accounts when experiencing the in-game dance.
Mohamed Ramadan, a famous singer, and actor in MENA, said: “I am thankful to
Garena for their continuous support in what has been an incredible journey. I
hope the Free Fire players have fun during the Number 1 event and are just as
excited as I am with the introduction of my ‘Maro’ dance!”
The collaboration with Mohamed Ramadan is part of Garena’s ongoing efforts to
bring exciting content to Garena Free Fire fans and players in the MENA region
by offering localized experiences.
As part of the partnership, Mohamed Ramadan, who is also a brand ambassador,
became the first Arab character on Free Fire with Garena marking the occasion
by lighting up Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa with an eye-catching video
announcement.
The campaign’s in-game video can be viewed here, while Free Fire can be downloaded
on the Apple iOS App or Google Play store.
