Brand ambassador Hugh Jackman, model Isabeli Fontana and friends of Montblanc experience the great outdoors inside the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie |
To celebrate the launch of its new timepieces, Montblanc invited guests to reconnect with nature and enjoy the pleasure of the outdoors inside SIHH in Geneva. Combining natural wood, luscious plant walls and breathtaking mountain views, the multisensory experience was designed to give visitors the feeling of walking through a real natural environment. The booth concept was inspired by the latest Montblanc 1858 timepieces based on the legendary professional Minerva watches from the 1920s and 1930s conceived for military use and mountain exploration. Guests got a first look at the brand-new Montblanc timepieces inspired by the storied manufacture Minerva’s rich 161-year watchmaking heritage including the new 1858 Geosphere in a nature-inspired bronze and khaki green as well as pieces from its Heritage and TimeWalker lines. After 3 years of development, Montblanc CEO Nicolas Baretzki introduced for the first time the Star Legacy Metamorphosis Limited Edition 8, an innovative timepiece that features a number of complications developed and produced entirely by the Montblanc engineers and master watchmakers. While Munich DJ duo The Spectacular Now spun tracks, 3-Michelin starred chef Chicco Cerea prepared a live gastronomic experience for guests to enjoy. Montblanc brand ambassador Hugh Jackman and friend of the maison Isabeli Fontana, David Gandy, Aldo Comas, Juan Avellaneda, Lawrence Wong, Sveva Alviti, Nanni Saul, Numan Acar, Mr. Kira, and Blanda Eggenschwiler took part in a mixology session, enhancing the taste of the mixologists’ cocktails “The 1858”, “The Jackman” and “The Fontana” with wit the scents and flavours of the mountains. To reaffirm its belief in the importance of stepping outdoors to reconnect through nature, Montblanc showed its support to CREA Mont Blanc during SIHH by donating funds to the Research Center For Alpine Ecosystems rather than gifting its traditional Montblanc giveaways to guests. The money donated contributes to the scientific and academic organization’s mission to deliver high quality ecological research to understand how alpine ecosystems function and respond to climate change, as well as communication and education initiatives. |
