With an outstanding return for the 12th consecutive year, Saudi HORECA commenced at the esteemed Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center on the 27th of November 2023, co-locating with the world-famous Salon du Chocolat et de la Pâtisserie, and marking the hospitality landscape with a dynamic union of the industry’s experts, leaders, and innovators. With the support of the esteemed Culinary Art Commission, the renowned event is set to last for 3 consecutive days, until November 29, 2023.
On the first day of this remarkable joint occasion, Mr. Guillaume Gomez, Global Ambassador of the French Gastronomy representing President Emmanuel Macron, and Mrs. Mayada Badr, CEO of Culinary Art Commissions, were both honored on behalf of the HORECA Network, Saudi HORECA, and Salon du Chocolat et de la Pâtisserie in Dubai, Jeddah, and Riyadh.
Mrs. Joumana Damous Salameh, CEO of Hospitality Services, the co-organizing company, presented the celebratory ceremony with a heartfelt speech addressing the recognized guests: “We are gathered here tonight to celebrate the profound impact of two extraordinary personalities who have reimagined our industry. Synonymous with gastro-diplomacy, Guillaume Gomez is a true champion of the hospitality, restaurant, and catering sectors.” Mrs. Salameh then continued: “It is a great honor and privilege to award Mayada Badr for her outstanding contributions to showcasing the richness and diversity of Saudi cuisine to the world.”
Simultaneously, a fascinating Chocolate Fashion Show launched Salon du Chocolat et de la Pâtisserie with the attendance of world-famous key players in the hospitality field.
Saudi Horeca and Salon du Chocolat et de la Patisserie will feature additional exciting shows and competitions, including the Hospitality Salon Culinaire, the Saudi Barista Competition, the Mocktail Zero Competition, Choco Demo, Pastry Show, Cake Competitions and Salon du Chocolat Junior. The jury comprises more than 60 chefs and experts, many of whom are attending from abroad.
Beside the competitions, Saudi HORECA is bringing together more than 20 keynote speakers for a series of talks to tackle industry-related topics. Panel discussions are being held with hoteliers, food specialists and tech firms, among others.
Spanning 30,000 square meters, HORECA Riyadh and Salon du Chocolat et de la Patisserie are showcasing innovative products, the latest technologies, and services from 420 local, regional, and international companies. More than 50,000 trade professionals are visiting the two shows during the 3-day event, where they enjoy the opportunity to network, discover new opportunities and plan the future of their companies.
