Beirut – Thursday 6 October 2016: This season of Paris Fashion Week, Huawei powered the Faux Consultancy showroom showcasing regional talent for international press and buyers to experience. The collaboration shed light on the seamless synergy between fashion and technology where designers including House of Nomad, Taller Marmo, L’Afshar and Usfuur were on display alongside the Huawei P9 limited edition colors and the Ruby Red Lady Watch.
Further to the success Huawei saw at Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture with the Hassan Hajjaj exhibit at Colette, Huawei set out to leave their mark once again on the global fashion industry’s most sought after event, all the while supporting regional talent as they take on Paris Fashion Week.
Faux consultancy’s regional designers were equipped with Huawei devices to facilitate the day to day tasks of scheduling meetings, appointments with buyers, updating their social media pages and walking press through their latest collections and lookbooks. Their pieces lined the racks and shelves ranging from Donna Hourani’s fine jewelry to Arwa Al Banawi’s contemporary women’s wear and for each designer, the long-lasting battery life andP9 dual-lens camera enabled them to make the most out of the HuaweixFaux showroom.
With so many textures, colours, cuts and fabrics, the Huawei devices effortlessly integrated into the showroom displayed as flat lays beside the spring/summer 2017 designer collections.
Commenting on the collaboration, Huawei Regional MEA Marketing Director Myriam Benaroya said, “The synergy between fashion and technology is becoming more and more apparent as people incorporate technology into their daily lives. Our Huawei Ruby Red Lady Watch is a great example of how timeless design meets sophisticated innovation and with our Limited Edition P9 in red and blue, Huawei aims to present smartphones and wearables as a reflection of one’s style.”
Firras Alwahabi, Managing Director of Faux Consultancy also spoke of the partnership saying, “We come to Paris season after season to offer our designers the chance to meet with the buyers and international press. This year, with Huawei powering our showroom, we were able to take it to new heights as designers integrated Huawei’s innovative technology into their Paris Fashion Week experience.”
Huawei and Faux also co-hosted a dinner for designers, press and VIP guests at Parisian hotspot Tondo.
