With funding from the European Union, IT and Networking equipment were handed over to the Ministry of Industry under the “2Circular” Project implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
The Ministry of Industry received a comprehensive set of information technology (IT) equipment funded by the European Union, within the framework of the “2Circular” Project implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The project aims to support Lebanon’s transition toward a more sustainable and resource-efficient industrial future.
The official handover ceremony took place on 4 November 2025 at the Ministry of Industry headquarters in Beirut, in the presence of H.E. the Minister of Industry, representatives from the Delegation of the European Union to Lebanon, and UNIDO.
The equipment provided includes an integrated network infrastructure, switches, cables, uninterruptible power supply units (UPS), and multifunction printers. This support aims to enhance the Ministry’s technical and administrative capacities, improve digital connectivity between its five central directorates in Beirut and six regional offices across Lebanon, and strengthen communication, documentation, and operational efficiency.
