THE FIRST SCOTTISH-LEBANESE WHISKY IN HISTORY TO WIN AT THE WORLD WHISKIES AWARDS
Beirut, December 10, 2021: Earlier in the year, Glenbey was launched as the first Premium Scotch whisky with a Lebanese signature. Today, we celebrate another first, as Glenbey becomes the first Scottish-Lebanese whisky in history to be recognized at the World Whiskies Awards.
Presented by Whisky Magazine, the World Whiskies Awards take place every year with the aim of recognizing and celebrating the best whiskies from around the world. Born in Scotland and raised in Lebanon, Glenbey received the Bronze Award in the category of ‘non-age Scotch whiskey.
Commenting on the occasion, Anthony Massoud, CEO of Ets. Antoine Massoud stated: “From the start, we knew that Glenbey would become a spirit legacy and true to that, we are honored to have been recognized at the World Whiskies Awards 2022. From the glens of Scotland to the shores of Lebanon, we have created a product that both nations can be proud of.”
A first-class Lebanese product, Glenbey fills a gap in the market, providing premium Scotch whisky at an affordable price compared to other international brands in the same category.
