As the deadline for registration approaches, the WATERMEDYIN Project is calling startups in Lebanon, Palestine, and Tunisia to apply to its 10-day intensive online workshop for a chance to win €10,000 and a trip to Italy.
The aim of the program is to support and strengthen start-ups operating in the sustainable management of water and marine resources, and the agri-food and coastal development sectors. It encourages young innovators to respond to issues throughout the Mediterranean basin, including the difficulty of leading the innovation processes in the agri-food sector; the increasing scarcity and difficulty to access water resources; and the current lack of protection and sustainable management of the marine and coastal environment.
At the end of the training, an international jury will evaluate the 5 best proposals from each country. These top teams will win €10,000 and gain access to a 3-month coaching and mentoring program – held by a local Innovation Support Organization (ISO), with the support of CIHEAM Bari. The selected start-ups will also be invited to the final brokerage event to be held in Italy, with the participation of investor companies and other authoritative innovation actors operating in the concerned sectors.
The project is financed by the Italian Cooperation and implemented by CIHEAM Bari.
