Athos is proud to welcome Khoury Shopping Center Partenaire Intermarché as the most recent member of the growing Intermarché family in Lebanon. KSC opened their new supermarket on December 19th in Amioun, and in Batroun, the first stages of the remodeling and redesign of their existing store have been completed in line with Khoury’s concept and Intermarché’s specifications, bringing a modern and customer-focused shopping experience to the region.
With this launch, the network of Partenaire Intermarché stores in Lebanon now counts ten operating stores.
A Strong and Growing Network
Athos has been instrumental in introducing and developing the Partenaire Intermarché project in Lebanon, which already includes:
• Metro Market Partenaire Intermarché – 1 point of sale in Ghazir
• Promarché Partenaire Intermarché – 6 POS located in Faubourg St Jean, Baabda Square, Hazmieh Mar Takla, Broumana, Chtoura, and Antelias
• Hachem Superstore Partenaire Intermarché – 1 POS in Rayfoun
• Khoury Shopping Center Partenaire Intermarché – 2 POS in located in Batroun and Amioun.
Whether a remodeled store or a brand-new one, all Partenaire Intermarché stores are designed in accordance with the brand’s international unique concept and specifications.
The innovative partnership model has proven to be a successful formula in combining global retail know-how with local entrepreneurship as it allows for Lebanese supermarket owners to benefit from their own expertise and brand strength, combined with the advantages of working with one of Europe’s leading retail groups. The resulting state-of-the-art store design and shopping experience, as well as a comprehensive portfolio of exclusive, top-quality private brand products including Labell, Apta, Chabrior, and more, is what differentiates Partenaire Intermarché stores from the competition.
Independence and Support
Partenaires maintain their independence while benefiting from all the exclusive advantages of the Intermarché concept. This growing group of independent supermarket owners operates under one common Partenaire Intermarché banner, leveraging shared expertise and synergies.
Beyond providing the necessary guidance, norms, and standards, Athos ensures that the ambitious expansion of Partenaire stores throughout Lebanon does not come at the expense of any existing Partenaire, by safeguarding every respective Partenaire’s catchment zone.
A Vision Led by Mr. Oliver Geha
At the heart of this success is the vision of Mr. Oliver Geha, the man behind Athos’ ambitious retail strategy. His leadership and forward-thinking approach have been instrumental in adapting Intermarché’s global expertise to the Lebanese market, while empowering local entrepreneurs to thrive.
