After a brief presentation about the essence and goals of Who’s Next and Premiere Classe, the Paris team offered guests a sneak preview of their upcoming Spring/Summer 2017 edition, which is scheduled to take place in the French capital from September 2 to 5 this year, and is centered around a Mediterranean theme. The team also presented their upcycling project and outlined its goals. The upcycling project is organized with various swingers from around the world, including Lebanese brand Second St. The collaboration between Second St, Who’s Next and Kiliwatch is particularly relevant for Lebanon, as it consists of a unisex collection made from upcycled garments sourced from Kiliwatch’s large depot in Rouen, France, and inspired by the Mediterranean region’s fertile landscape and shimmering sea. Other countries taking part in the upcycling project unclude Italy, France, Greece and Spain. Over a traditional Lebanese breakfast and delectable Middle Eastern sweets, the Paris team met with Lebanon’s buyers as well as local jewelry, fashion and accessories designers. While the local designers sought to familiarize themselves with Who’s Next and Premiere Classe, the two Paris organizations were able to get a feel for Lebanon’s internationally renowed fashion and design scenes.
