August 22, 2017, Beirut – International and local VIP guests gathered on August 22nd for the official opening of Phoenicia Hotel’s Gastronomic Delights of Pakistan event. The prestigious inauguration ceremony took place under the patronage of His Excellency Ghattas Khoury, Minister of Culture, His Excellency Pierre Abi Assi, Minister of Social Events, the former Prime Minister His Excellency Fouad Siniora, the advisor to Prime Minister His Excellency Saad Al Hariri, Mr. Fouad Fawaz, the General Manager of Phoenicia Hotel Beirut, Ms. Dagmar Symes, and was honoured with the attendance of His Excellency Aftab Kohkher, Ambassador of Pakistan.
Gastronomic Delights of Pakistan is hosted by Phoenicia Hotel Beirut in collaboration with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and runs from August 22nd until Monday 28th August, 2017 at Mosaic Restaurant. Throughout the week a special section of the Mosaic buffet is dedicated to serving Pakistani cuisine especially prepared by Chef Raj Wall Khan and Chef Abdul Saeed from Serena Hotel Islamabad.
Gastronomic Delights of Pakistan marks the first time that Phoenicia Hotel has collaborated with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on a culinary event of this kind. This unique opportunity to savour the gastronomy of Pakistan proved to be a resounding success with guests sharing their enthusiasm for the experience.
