Beirut, July 9, 2018 – As the exclusive fuel provider of the Lebanese Rally Championship and a long-time supporter for motorsports in Lebanon, Total Liban sponsored the 2018 Rally of Lebanon Super Special Stage, on July 6, 2018 at the RPM circuit in Mtein. Professional drivers came together to compete and win the Rally of Lebanon title. An adrenaline infused ambiance took over thus creating an exhilarating experience for both the drivers and the large number of people who joined to watch.
Bloggers, journalists, Total Liban clients and Facebook fans were invited to witness the race. Three Total Liban invitees lived a co-piloting experience with the car drift driver, Rony Deraoui, on the Super Special Stage circuit.
Total Liban Managing Director, Philippe Amblard, commented on this occasion saying, “This is the 8th year in a row that we are the exclusive fuel provider of the Lebanese Rally Championship. Motorsports play a vital role in the development of automobile consumer products; as racing is the ultimate laboratory that drives research on TOTAL fuels and lubricants towards excellence. In that regard, we established collaborations and partnerships, within the framework of motorsports competitions, which uphold Total’s position as a recognized incubator for innovation and fearlessness, especially that these two characteristics define both Total and motorsports.”
The 2018 Rally of Lebanon truly showcased Total’s high-performance fuels and lubricants which are perfectly tailored to the specific needs and features of the motorsports industry where these products contribute in optimizing the engine performance. Therefore, Total Liban has put at the service of the Lebanese Rally Championship participants the most advanced racing fuels: ELF TURBO REF, ATMO RC and TOTAL Effimax SP 98. TOTAL QUARTZ range, including high quality lubricants, was also available. The breakthrough innovation of TOTAL QUARTZ engine oil with Age Resistance Technology (ART) improves protection against mechanical wear by up to 64%*. This advancement has a significant impact on prolonging a car engine’s performance and longevity.
Total Liban renewed its partnership agreement with the Automobile & Touring Club in Lebanon (ATCL), where it became, for the 8th consecutive year, a sponsor and the exclusive supplier of fuel for the Lebanese Rally Championship. This year, The Rally of Lebanon, which is the 3rd stage of the Championship, is taking place on 3 consecutive days 6, 7, and 8 July, 2018.
