Beirut, 19 September 2017: OLX Lebanon, the leading classified ads platform in the country, announced the appointment of Mr. John Noja as the new Country Manager. In this role, John will be responsible for growing the business as well as setting up and overseeing the day-to-day operations in Lebanon. His international experience and local leadership will be influential in progressing OLX’s strategic business development in the Lebanese market.
OLX receives an average of 800,000 Lebanese monthly to its platform, with almost 6 million visits. Mr. Noja’s appointment will enable OLX Lebanon to further develop the platform’s user engagement, traffic and revenue. John brings more than 9 years of experience in consulting and strategy, acquired in global companies such as Stategy&, BearingPoint and Orange. He holds a Masters of Science in Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris, France and a Bachelor in Economics from Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon.

Noja’s experience results from his collaboration with different regional and global players, giving him, the right skill set and knowledge for his position at OLX Lebanon. His extensive experience was achieved through challenging projects on different markets, mainly in the telecommunication and digital industry, such as defining and implementing optimisation strategies, new products portfolio development, geographical expansion, operating model design or new organizational structure definition, etc.
OLX opened its office in Lebanon since May 2017 and has currently 5 local Lebanese talents making use of the best international practices to adapt it to the local market needs.
In August 2017, OLX Arabia was rated #1 shopping app in Lebanon in App Store and Google Play. As for its overall app ranking, OLX Arabia comes among the top 10 apps In Lebanon in both App Store and Google Play.
