| The Lebanese Association of Actuaries (LAA) hosted its 1st workshop on May 3rd at Gefinor Rotana Hotel in Hamra. The workshop took place in response to the increased focus, both locally and internationally, on the important role of the actuarial profession. It brought together more than 50 Lebanese actuaries and actuarial analysts from various industries and actuarial students from different universities. The LAA’s president, Mr. Ronald Chidiac, introduced the LAA and answered the questions of attendees, who showed significant interest in joining the LAA ; while Mr. Ibrahim Muhanna talked about the International Actuarial Association, in which the LAA is a full member. The workshop was organized by the LAA to further promote the role of actuaries and support the development of the profession in Lebanon. |
