A superphone for the young superstars
Beirut – August 9th, 2017: During a glamorous evening, Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) revealed the successor of its stylish and premium mid-range nova series, Huawei nova 2 Plus at LivBeirut in Jal El Dib. Guests including partners, influencers and members of the press, received a dazzling red carpet treatment as they walked in to meet the Superstar: Huawei nova 2 Plus and capture photos with its 20-megapixel front camera specially designed for selfies and video calls.
The event was preceded by a presentation headed by Huawei senior officials followed by an entertainment session in which the best of Beirut’s young artists and performers swayed the event with their mesmerizing performance.
“The introduction of nova 2 Plus comes after a breakthrough global growth during the first quarter of 2017 where smartphone shipments of Huawei devices increased by over 50% comparing to 2016. This impressive growth is a testament of Huawei distinctive devices that combine advanced technology with innovation, quality and style,” said Rex Liu, President of Huawei Consumer Business Group Levant Region. “With the successful launch of the 7th device in the Lebanese market this year, Huawei nova 2 Plus will surely appeal to the young consumers in Lebanon who are looking for a distinctive experience at a comfortable price tag,” added Rex.
The big highlight of the smartphone is its dual camera setup at the back and the 20-megapixel front camera. The dual camera setup consists of a 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture for a wider-angle, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens for more zoom. The front camera, set to redefine the era of capturing a Selfie, sports a 20-megapixel sensor with intelligent fill light for low light photography and beauty filters to enhance selfies further.
Coming with a metal finish and a fingerprint scanner at the back, The dual SIM Huawei nova 2 Plus houses a 5.50-inch touchscreen with a 2.5D-curved glass on top and packs a 3340mAh battery with fast charging support. Running the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, the new device is powered by 2.36GHz octa-core Kirin 659 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage also sees a bump up to 64 GB.
Adding to the glam throughout the event, a team of suit-wearing professional photographers roamed in between attendees to take different shots of them on a red carpet – creating an illusion of fame. At the end of the night, attendees were given the chance to win the nova 2 Plus device where 2 lucky winners walked away as Superstars.
The Huawei nova 2 Plus is available in the Lebanese market in blue, gold and black color options.
