Beirut, February 10, 2017: Following the success of it first branch in Hamra, Curli-Q, opens its second on Bayada’s Main Road. The opening took place on February 7, 2017 as media members, online influencers and pastry lovers gathered to witness spit baking at its finest.
Founded by Maya Bekhazi Noun in 2015, Curli-Q’s new branch in Bayada is owned by Nadine Sawaya, whose interest in the shop and spit baking encouraged her to bring this unique concept closer to home.
Curli-Q gets its name from its spiral offerings inspired by Bekhazi’s travels. The technique involves cake baking on spits; pointed rotating bars on which multiple layers of dough are rolled over each other and baked evenly, one at a time.
“I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t love pastries which is why I wanted to bring this cake wave to Bayada. Curli-Q redefines the art of baking as spit baking allows the dough to preserve its moisture as opposed to traditional cake baking, making it more tasteful and healthy,” says Sawaya.
A wide selection of tasty creations is available at Curli-Q, as well as a variety of breakfast and lunch options. Hot and cold drinks, fruit, detox and energizing juices, are also on offer.
Indeed, the branch in Hamra has been a hit since opening, with its inviting interior, comfy stools and delicious menu items. It has also attracted a large number of orders for special occasions.
As quality plays a central role to the success and popularity of Curli-Q, the Bayada branch will be a valuable addition to the brand, serving the discerning community of Metn and beyond.
