Each spring brings with it the glamorous festivities associated with Cannes. Loyal to this prestigious annual event for more than 15 years, de GRISOGONO will once again be sending a fresh breeze of creativity and boldness blowing across La Croisette. As the Opening ceremony approaches, the heart of its High Jewellery workshops is throbbing more passionately than ever, as it prepares to stage the finest choreography. The hands of the jewellery, gemsetting and engraving artisans are giving vibrant life to the new de GRISOGONO creations, the very ones that will ascend the steps of the Palais des Festivals.
To celebrate this 70th edition, Fawaz Gruosi is once again thinking big! Diamonds and exceptional stones enliven an unprecedented festival of cuts, shapes and colours. The brand brings us a stunning preview by opening the doors of its workshops to reveal the birth of a High Jewellery bracelet. Studded with rubies and blackened gold interlaced with diamonds, it proudly flaunts its cabochon-cut emeralds. The inimitable style of the Maison and its now emblematic design codes are immediately recognisable, offering a daring colour combination of emeralds, diamonds and rubies. Black rhodium plating with its depth and intensity shapes the creative visionary’s hallmark chiaroscuro effect. An entirely natural play on shapes and stone cuts. Generous, perfectly proportioned volumes giving an airy feel to the jewellery. A model that is all about contrasts, radiating an apparent opulence tinged with harmony and grace. A bracelet subtly heralding the magical spell that Fawaz Gruosi consistently casts at Cannes. A pure, transcendent shape, a mobile construction caressing the wrist, a majestic adornment flaunting an incredible ruby setting triumphantly bearing five intense green cabochon-cut emeralds totalling 77 carats. An organic creation vividly evoking the jagged rocks gleaming around the shores of the Mediterranean. Loyal to the philosophy of consistently creating jewellery that is beautiful from every angle, the underside of the bracelet in contact with the skin features a scrolling lacework pattern embroidered with ruby red. As if to further emphasise its atypical nature, gold is enhanced by a line of black kohl that further intensifies its gaze. This bold and surprising creation that defies classification first intrigues and then deploys the full extent of its seductive charm.
