Beirut, July 31, 2017: In line with its expansion plan, Banque Misr Liban Sal (BML) opened its 20th branch in Dora, north-east of Beirut in the Metn District of Mount Lebanon Governorate. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian, Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Nazih Al Najari, Executive General Manager of BML Fadi Daouk, Head of branches network Roger Zovighian, the new branch manager Annie Guidanian and a crowd of businessmen.
Egyptian Ambassador to Lebanon Nazih Al Najari expressed his happiness and appreciation for the efforts of BML in the implementation of its expansion and development plan. During his ten-month stay in Lebanon, he had the chance to witness the opening of two new branches. He stressed that the Bank, especially through its name, reflects the special relationship between the Egyptian and Lebanese people and the two countries in general. He also pointed out the important role played by BML in supporting and strengthening Egyptian-Lebanese relations and investments between the two countries.
In his speech, Daouk stressed on BML’s determination to be present in all Lebanese regions as it falls within the framework of its expansion plan to reach all segments of society. The bank also hopes to offer a variety of banking services all of which serve the realization of comprehensive banking and national development. Daouk also spoke of BML’s strategy and objectives, and praised the efforts of all its employees in strengthening BML, one of the oldest banks in Lebanon, and restoring its role, adding to its long history of achievements.
On her part, the manager of the new BML branch in Dora, Mrs. Annie Guidanian, wished the branch success and prosperity and promised to meet the needs of the people in the area.
