May 11th, Beirut, Lebanon – Beautiful sea breezes, a perfect sunset and exceptional hospitality were all on the menu when Amethyste lounge at Phoenicia Beirut celebrated the opening of its doors for the summer season on May 11. The evening party was attended by Phoenicia Beirut’s valued and loyal corporate clients, as well as press and media personalities.
Canapés and cocktails flowed freely throughout the evening, while live food stations offered an array of tempting savory and sweet delights, such as sushi, tropical fruits and traditional Middle Eastern hand-churned ice cream.
Guests had plenty to entertain them including an invitation to be a bartender for the evening and learn expert cocktail tips from Amethyste’s mixologist Olson Pereira and his team. Olson Pereira is an internationally acclaimed mixologist who has joined the Phoenicia’s Food & Beverage team from Dubai to spearhead a reinvigorated beverage programme, crafting drinks menus that reflect the world’s leading-edge cocktail trends. The Amethyste launch party gave guests the exclusive opportunity to sample some of the signature cocktails debuting on the Amethyste menu this season.
The Wheel of Fortune allowed everyone the chance to try their luck to win special prizes and created a lot of buzz on the night. Sharing of photos on Instagram with the hashtag #Time4Amethyste proved equally popular, with all hashtagged photos printed on the spot for guests to take home. Diverse musical entertainment kept the party vibe going all evening, with a live band, violinist, hang drum performance and DJ.
