Roads for Life delivers medical, first aid and rescue kits to the Civil Defense
Roads for Life delivered to the Director General of Civil Defense, General Raymond Khattar, medical, first aid and rescue kits that it received from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as part of an assistance program to a number of NGOs working on the field after the Beirut port blasts.
Khattar thanked Roads for Life for its initiative, mentioning that is one of the first associations to have donated equipment which contribute to reinforcing the capabilities of the Civil Defense and supporting its work on the field.
The president of Roads for Life, Zeina Kassem, announced during the handing over of the equipment that the association “will also deliver numerous medical, first aid and rescue kits to many organizations and institutions participating in the reconstruction of the capital.”
Kassem stated that “the blasts that hit Beirut will not only be an opportunity to pick up the pieces, but it will also be an opportunity to get back on our feet and rebuild the people and the buildings in a country that has risen from its ashes countless times.”
“We present our sincere condolences to the martyrs of the Civil Defense and to all the victims who fell while performing their duties. We, as well as other organizations operating in Lebanon, commit to double our efforts in order to come together and make our capital even more beautiful than it was before,” she added.
