The Sharjah-based independent humanitarian organization has announced Lujan Mourad as its new Director, while Hamda Al Muhrizi has been named Deputy Director
Sharjah, UAE – 13 February 2025: The Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation (KSQF), a Sharjah-based independent global humanitarian organization chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, has announced two key leadership appointments to help the Foundation deliver maximum impact to its range of global projects.
Lujan Mourad has been appointed Director, while Hamda Al Muhrizi will take on the role of Deputy Director. The appointment of two well-respected and experienced leaders in the humanitarian sector further reinforces the Foundation’s commitment to protect and empower vulnerable children worldwide.
Lujan Mourad is a dedicated humanitarian leader committed to driving social impact across multiple sectors. As the Director of the Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation, she will lead initiatives that protect and empower vulnerable children from exploitation, especially those affected by conflict and poverty.
With over 18 years’ experience managing impactful local and international government and third-sector programs across a range of areas such as mental health, environmental sustainability, and volunteer management, Lujan’s strategic focus aligns with the Foundation’s mission to drive sustainable, systematic change ensuring meaningful and-lasting impact for vulnerable children worldwide.
As the Foundation’s Deputy Director, Hamda Al Muhrizi’s 15 years of experience in marketing, communications, and humanitarian work will enable the Foundation to drive impactful initiatives and cultivate strategic partnerships that promote sustainable development and community empowerment.
Prior to joining KSQF, Hamda’s accomplished career to date includes key leadership roles at The Big Heart Foundation and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, where she contributed to successful global campaigns and organizational growth. Hamda’s strategic vision and dedication to advancing humanitarian causes make her a vital force in creating meaningful change.
Since its launch in July 2024, the Foundation has been focused on building strategic global partnerships that address the needs of children in conflict zones, poverty-stricken communities, and areas affected by natural disasters. Established to honor the legacy of the late Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the Foundation embodies his vision of a safer world for children, prioritizing their protection and well-being.
KSQF’s long term strategy focuses on addressing the unique challenges and needs around child protection across low and middle-income countries. Guided by three core pillars, safeguarding, advocacy, and capacity building, the Foundation’s programmatic initiatives will focus on Latin America and East Africa during 2025. The Foundation will then expand its efforts to South Asia, Southwest Asia and the North African regions.
