Due to the total lockdown in Lebanon, our date to appear before the court and leave the current shelter we are occupying has been postponed for a month, giving our team more time to focus on building the new shelter and ensure a safe haven for more than 1,000 animals under our care. We are at the last mile for the shelter dogs’ construction.
Thanks to your support, the construction work is ongoing;Click to Check it. However, it has stalled and we still need to finish building the 30 dog bungalows and the area for the aging dogs, as well as install the remainder of the roofs (around 50 percent) and fencing, which amounts to a total of $80k in the current phase.
The world is currently facing the COVID-19 pandemic which has affected us all and that has resulted in increasing difficulty to raise the needed funds for our furry rescues who cannot understand what crisis is; They only want to survive as they’ve seen enough misery already. However, it is only through solidarity that we can overcome the current social and economic challenges, while continuing to rescue animals in urgent need of help.
It is only through your kind donations and the care of our team that Wally, the friendly boy who was severely abused with boiling water thrown at him, is currently recovering.
Three-month-old Nick who was hit by a car and left to die for five days, underwent the necessary surgery to walk again, and puppy Sylvester who resorted to eating rocks on the street to fight starvation received all the care needed to help him gain weight and remove the necrotic tissue.
Taz, Becca, Socks and Jay Jay would have faced certain death on the street, if it were not for the kindness of animal lovers across the globe, showing their support to the animals in Lebanon, especially after the disastrous events the country has been facing.
Times are difficult on all of us and your support has helped us achieve what seemed like a dream, and it is only through you that will we be able to provide hundreds of dogs, cats, horses, monkeys and a donkey with a decent shelter and a good life. Please, help build them a home!
