In an interview on the TV program “Sar El Waet”, Chairman of Comin Insurance, Mr. Roger Zaccar, stressed the importance of comprehensive health insurance as an essential plan for every Lebanese citizen, especially in light of the severe economic crises that have weighed heavily on the Lebanese society.
Zaccar highlighted that nearly half of the Lebanese population currently lacks any form of health coverage, leaving many vulnerable to humiliation at hospital doors—particularly after the economic collapse reduced people’s ability to afford insurance. According to him, this is where the role of the private sector becomes crucial, as it provides broad facilities including installment plans of up to 9 months, ensuring dignity for individuals and their families when facing medical emergencies.
In the course of his remarks, Zaccar pointed out that the private sector has remained resilient throughout wars and financial crises, adding that his company, Comin, continues to offer flexible and comprehensive insurance services tailored to all social groups, in alignment with current needs and the realities of Lebanese citizens.
