“Sports do not only build strong bodies, but also help shape personalities and reinforce the values of discipline and commitment.”
During the Third edition of the “Beauty & Wellbeing Forum,” Rami Bitar, Founder and CEO of Capital Partners Holding and Executive President of Nejmeh SC, stressed the importance of sports as an essential part of any discussion related to mental and physical health and community building, affirming that “building nations begins with building people.”
During his speech at the forum, Bitar thanked the organizers for “creating a platform of such scale and importance in Lebanon, at a time when maintaining mental and physical balance has become a daily challenge for many people.” He noted that the concept of wellbeing is no longer linked solely to outward appearance or luxury, but rather to a person’s ability to cope with pressure and maintain both mental and physical health.
He pointed out that sports not only build strong bodies, but also contribute to shaping character and promoting the values of discipline, commitment, and perseverance. Sports also provide young people with a space to express themselves amid the economic, social, and psychological pressures Lebanon is experiencing today.
Bitar emphasized that sports are no longer merely a recreational or social activity, but have become a fully integrated economic sector that creates job opportunities for coaches, administrators, therapists, media professionals, content creators, and many others. He added that investing in stadiums, academies, and tournaments has a direct impact on the economy and opens new horizons for Lebanese youth.
He also outlined his vision for the development of Nejmeh SC, aiming to lead the club into a “Golden Era” through a strategy built on four key pillars: modernizing the club’s infrastructure and stadium, developing young talents through a professional academy, expanding the club’s sports divisions to include futsal, women’s football, beach soccer, and e-sports, in addition to building sustainable revenue streams through partnerships, sponsorships, and the launch of branded commercial products carrying the club’s identity.
Bitar concluded by emphasizing that Nejmeh SC is not merely a sports club, but a space of hope that unites Lebanese people around a shared passion, adding: “We may not be able to change the reality of the country overnight, but every young person who chooses to train instead of surrendering, and every individual who regains faith in their future in this country, is a real step forward.”
