Beirut, May 2025 – Following the launch of Spinney’s humanitarian campaign titled “لأنن بيستاهلوا طنّة ورنّة” (Because they deserve the spotlight and attention)in April, Gray Mackenzie Retail Group visited the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) to officially hand over the amount raised during the initiative. The visit was attended by representatives from both organizations, along with a number of influencers.
The campaign started with an emotional video broadcast across local television channels and shared widely on Spinneys and CCCL’s social media platforms. The video featured prominent athletes, media figures, and influencers, and shed light on the powerful symbolism of the bell that each child rings upon completing their treatment, signaling victory over cancer and the beginning of a new chapter.
The initiative offered Spinneys customers the opportunity to contribute by donating as little as $1 at any of the brand’s branches, once again proving that collective support can make a meaningful impact.
In her remarks during the visit, Mrs. Hana Chaar Choueib, Board Member of the Union for International Cancer Control and General Manager of CCCL, emphasized the importance of this collaboration:
“Campaigns like this reflect true solidarity in the most difficult times and help restore hope in the hearts of children and their families. We are grateful to Spinneys for their ongoing commitment and always look forward to similar initiatives that make a real difference in our patients’ lives.”
From his side, Ralph El Kahi, Chief Marketing Officer at Spinneys, stated:
“Every campaign like this is a message of hope. At Spinneys, we believe supporting children through their treatment journey is a social responsibility we proudly uphold. We thank our customers and everyone who took part in making this campaign a success—together, we created real impact.”
This campaign adds to Spinneys’ ongoing social initiatives, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to supporting various segments of the Lebanese community—this time, by bringing light and hope into the lives of children at the Children’s Cancer Center of Lebanon.
