24-10-2025: This summer, LAU Medical Centers Rizk Hospital and Saint John’s Hospital proudly continued their commitment to supporting races and marathons across Lebanon, providing essential healthcare support during community races across Lebanon.
Through their LAU Mobile Clinic missions, the Medical Centers ensured that runners were safe, cared for, and supported, living out their mission of healing with compassion.
In Hrajel on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in partnership with the Municipality of Hrajel, the LAU Mobile Clinic medical team was on site to support 300 local runners. Several participants required medical attention and were treated promptly, allowing them to continue or recover safely, while also providing reassurance and guidance throughout the race.
The My School Pulse 5Km Race in Faqra, held on Sunday, August 3, 2025, welcomed 1,200 participants. The Medical Centers’ medical team, was present throughout the event, offering immediate care to twelve runners and ensuring that every participant felt supported and confident as they crossed the finish line.
On Sunday, August 17, 2025, the Joseph Hardan Race in Ehmej brought together 600 runners. Alongside the Beirut Marathon Association and the Municipality of Ehmej, the LAU Mobile Clinic medical team attended to twenty-three participants, providing attentive care and guidance, reinforcing the Medical Centers’ commitment to the wellbeing of athletes at every stage of the race.
Most recently, Mission 214 took place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Beirut Waterfront, where the LAU Mobile Clinic served as the exclusive and official medical provider for the “Run the City” race. Led by Dr. Rachid Rahme, race medical director, the medical team ensured comprehensive coverage for more than 2,500 participants. Minor injuries were reported and all were successfully treated on-site without complications. The event was a resounding success, highlighting the Clinic’s vital role in community engagement initiatives.
At each of these events, the LAU Mobile Clinic was fully equipped and staffed by the medical team from LAU Medical Centers. Their presence combined professional medical care with encouragement and reassurance, ensuring a safe and positive experience for all runners.
