Jounieh, Lebanon – [date] – For the third year in a row, LAU Medical Center–Saint John’s Hospital proudly joined the annual “Walk With Al Younbouh”, held on Sunday, May 11, to advocate for inclusion, dignity, and hope for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
A total of 87 participants from the LAU community marched side by side, united under one symbolic shirt, reinforcing the hospital’s unwavering commitment to social responsibility and compassionate healing.
To further amplify the medical center’s support, continuous care was offered through the LAU Mobile Clinic reaffirming its mission to serve communities beyond hospital walls.
Dr. Sally Al Rabbaa, CEO of LAU Medical Center–Saint John’s Hospital, walked the route alongside participants, which started at Fouad Chehab Stadium and passed by LAU Medical Center – Saint John’s Hospital for a special celebration. A plum tree was planted on the hospital grounds as a commemoration of this year’s walk, symbolizing the sweetness of the cause and the enduring growth of inclusion.
“The joy, laughter, and heartfelt emotion that filled the day reminded us of the power of unity and purpose,” said Dr. Al Rabbaa. “When we walk together, we move closer to a future defined by compassion and equality.”
