Christmas spirit filled the LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital Oncology Division after a group of teenagers visited cancer patients singing Christmas chants and distributing joy, happiness and presents.
Beirut, December 30, 2019: The Christmas spirit could truly be felt at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital on Thursday December 30, when a group of teenagers from the Marial Apostolic Movement (MAM) – St. Maroun, Jeita visited cancer patients to distribute presents and spread joy and love around the holiday season.
The Marial Apostolic Movement – St. Maroun, Jeita takes on an activity every year around Christmas time. This year, the MAM chose to bring their guitars, sing Christmas carols and distribute gifts at the Oncology Division at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital.
This group of 35 teenage boys and girls aged between 14 and 17 years divided themselves into 3 groups that were each guided by a leader to make sure they were covering 3 floors at the same time: the One Day Chemotherapy Department, the Inpatient Chemotherapy Department and the Pediatric patients at LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital.
The MAM truly drew a smile on the patients’ faces and brought a feel of positivity and hope to all. LAU Medical Center-Rizk Hospital as well as its patients were thankful and appreciative of this cheerful and thoughtful initiative.
