Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 27th October 2019 – The sixth edition of the Daman Corporate Health and Wellness Awards announces eleven winning companies in the UAE for their efforts in prioritising employee health and wellbeing. The gala dinner hosted at W Dubai – The Palm in collaboration with MEED, celebrates the companies that recognise employee wellbeing is linked with business performance and economic growth and have taken tangible steps to create a healthier, happier and more productive workforce.
Fuelled by a greater awareness of the relationship between employee welfare and organisational growth, this year’s participants each demonstrated their commitment to their workforce which results in improved bottom lines.
The awards received a record number of 105 applications from companies demonstrating the pledges they are following through with and the wellness programmes implemented. Finalists were selected based on the quality and efficacy of their initiatives, including their implementation of holistic employee wellbeing, fitness programmes, promoting extracurricular employee activities, and encouraging support within local and regional communities. The finalists submitted entries for 15 separate categories, including the Daman Corporate Health & Wellness Visionary 2019, the Daman Corporate Health & Wellness Champion 2019, Daman Corporate Health & Wellness Award 2019, Fitbit Award for Physical Activity, Life Pharmacy Award for Community Impact and Saudi German Hospital Dubai Award for Best Workplace.

There were a number of outstanding winners including The Executive Council of Dubai who earned, The Daman Corporate Health & Wellness Award 2019 for the Public Sector, Standard Chartered Bank, UAE, who won the award for Benefits Strategy and Landmark Group who won the award for Innovation.
