Beirut, December 05, 2022: Securite Assurance organized an end-of-year event on December 01, at the Music Hall Beirut, with the objective of celebrating the successes and achievements of the company in 2022, despite the current difficult situation of the insurance sector and the Lebanese economy.
The event was attended by Mr. Jeff Khawam, chairman of the board of directors of Securite Assurance, Mr. Anthony Khawam, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mrs. Mireille Yazbeck, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Elias Yaacoub, Commercial Director, Securite Assurance Team, as well as an audience of more than 300 insurance brokers.
Mr. Anthony Khawam, CEO of Securite Assurance opened the event by a welcome speech in which he stated: “The last three years were exceptionally difficult for everyone, with the extremely volatile socio-economic environment Lebanon is facing.” He added that, “Despite the unprecedented multiplication of crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lebanese economic crisis, the monetary crisis and the devaluation of the national currency, as well as the Beirut Port blast, Securite Assurance managed to weather the storm and to grow stronger on all levels”.
Furthermore, Khawam explained that “Securite Assurance followed a wise and safe investment policy that allowed it not only to overcome the Lebanese acute crisis, but also to reinforce its financial standing, while considerably improving its various services.” Khawam enumerated in this regard the 2022 achievements, such as “covering the damages of the Beirut blast; the launch of Telemedicine, an innovative service that promises easier life and healthcare service to clients; as well as the introduction of other various technology oriented novelties for brokers such as the “Pro App” and the “Website Builder”. He also pointed out “as attested by the present audience, Securite Assurance never fails to deliver an insanely great service, ensuring fair and fast claims processing”. He then explained how Securite Assurance was able to design innovative products and risk solutions for individuals and corporates, thanks to its solid in-house actuarial teams as well as risk and reinsurance experts. All those factors paid off and resulted in the significant profitable growth that the company experienced.
Finally, Khawam exposed the international expansion plan of the group. He also thanked the employees and the brokers, whom he qualified as “the pillars of the company, without their efforts our success would not have been possible.”
The celebration event was marked by different types of entertainment shows such as instrumental performances, opera music, the “Tribute to Queen” show, in addition to a show by Lebanese star Toni Hanna.
