Fulkrum, a leading provider of inspection, expediting, auditing and technical staffing to the energy industry, has announced the appointment of Marco André Vandelli Guanaes as the South American General Manager to support the company’s ongoing expansion strategy in the Latin America.
With over 25 years’ experience working for key leaders in the energy industry, Marco spent 15 years at multinational oil and gas company, Shell, working in various roles and progressing to Sales and Operations Manager of the Brazilian office.
His experience working as a consultant and managing initiatives for major governing bodies across Latin America including Paraguay, Uruguay, Cuba, and Brazil, has positioned Marco as an esteemed expert within the sector. Marco’s achievements in global management, operations, consultancy, and business development are widely recognised in the field having led and developed various start-up processes as well as implementing tactical strategies for industry leaders across Latin America, the US, Europe, and the UK.
After establishing its position in South America in 2020, Fulkrum’s Latin American based office has seen consistent growth of 20% month by month in the last year. With a successful first step in the Brazilian market, Marco’s expertise in start-up processes and B2B (Business to Business) relations is predicted to grow even further with plans to expand into new regions, marking the next stage of growth for the region.
Commenting on his appointment, Marco said: “I’m excited to be supporting Fulkrum in the development of its footprint in the Latin American region. My key focuses for the region are to strengthen client relationships and increase operations here in South America.
As we emerge from the recovering period caused by the impact of the pandemic, we are now in a good stage to explore new opportunities in Brazil and the wider region over the next few months, particularly focusing on Guyana off the back of the recent oil discoveries. With new projects underway focusing on the oil and gas as well as the renewable markets, I see an optimistic future for Fulkrum.”
