The Formula
First up, the gel: A long-lasting formula that’s water resistant, smudge-proof, and armed with a complex of hair-conditioning ingredients, including coconut oil, vitamin E, castor oil and cyperus oil. The unique formula is also loaded with microfibers that thicken brows by adhering to skin and hair to dial-up the density and add sassy shape for full, fluffy, natural-looking brows. The Inspiration
As Huda and her team have watched brow trends evolve, they saw how consumers were moving away from the overly sculpted, contoured, product-heavy brow, and looking to in-salon treatments to create a fluffy, feathered brow. Aware that there was a need for a product that could achieve the same professional, yet natural-looking results, Huda wanted to create a product that would add natural-looking fullness, fluff and texture. Of course, it had to pass the Huda Beauty-longwear test; a product that would also stay all day, whether Huda was getting her steps in or hanging by the pool.
So, after launching her #BOMBBROWS collection with the Microshade Brow Pencil in February 2021, which allows everyone to design their own individual brow, Huda was on the hunt for a brow gel that could tame her unruly arches, while adding texture and creating a feathered, bushy, brushed-up look.
Huda found that overly pigmented brow gels made her already dark brows look blocky and lose the shape she had carefully created with the pencil. The current wands on the market failed to help either! Short, stubby, and thick, they could barely comb through her brows, and ended up creating annoying product build-up, resulting in clumpy, crunchy brows. So, Huda decided to create a tinted gel with tiny microfibers for color, fullness and control in one super-easy-to-apply, zero-flaking formula. - Using the tip of the wand, slide the pigment along the brow to create a defined shape, then brush through using the ultra-thin spoolie for your own desired fullness whether you’re doing full-on-feathered or just a natural, subtle fluff.
- Depending on the brow look you want to achieve, there are two ways to use #BOMBBROWS Full ’n Fluffy Fiber Gel along with #BOMBBROWS Microshade Pencil:
- For a soft, defined look, brush the hairs upwards using the Fiber Gel to sculpt and create the shape you want. Then, use the Microshade Pencil to draw in any areas where you want added definition.
- For a full, fluffy look, use the Microshade Pencil to draw hair-like strokes and then add natural-looking definition throughout your brows by blending with the ultra fine spoolie on the #BOMBBROWS Full ’n Fluffy Fiber Gel.
