Because it’s a time to reflect, rethink, reimagine…
Because in every crisis, lies an opportunity to grow and reinvent ourselves…
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tony Ward Couture launched the “REINVENTING FASHION IN THE TIME OF CORONA” Competition, inviting the next generation of designers, filmmakers and artists to imagine Fashion after the Corona crisis is over.
More than 60 students from different countries and university backgrounds took the challenge and submitted innovative projects addressing this very present issue. They might have been confined at home, but their imagination, creativity and skills led them to unimaginable places and unexplored territories.
The “Jury Prize” was awarded to Hala Taher, an Architecture & Design student at the American University of Beirut, who imagined a capsule collection of creative garments for social distancing. Rethinking body extensions while staying true to Tony Ward’s brand aesthetics got her the unanimous recognition of the jury.
As for the “Audience Prize”, the jury members shortlisted 9 finalists whose projects are now featured on @tonywardcouture Instagram page and website through the link https://tonyward.net/portal/en-US/initiatives/93/c/competition-finalists/802/.
Discover these creative projects and vote for your favorite one before July 2nd at midnight!
