For the Fall-Winter 2019/20 womenswear collection, Kiton has drawn its inspiration from the world of contemporary art.
The works of the Cubist artist Sonia Delaunay and the Bauhaus-trained artist Anni Albers inspire the colours and the contrasts of materials and volumes.
Unexpected combinations of materials, geometries and colours create a new harmony, giving life to the contemporary aesthetic expression of Kiton women.
The finest fibres intertwine and merge with the colours and patterns of menswear: a perfect match between function and harmony.
For elegant coats and jackets, cashmere yarn is printed and either knitted or made into woven fabric. For the matching knitwear, the yarn is made of sable and cashmere. The iconic Kiton coat with pared-down volumes is made from double cashmere.
Opaque textures alternate with shiny materials, while the colours are influenced by the neutral shades of leather, sand, ecru and beige, which are lit up by flecks of gold.
The multi-coloured inlay of the mink coats are set against smokey grey, as are the geometric prints of the suits and shirts.
Evening wear includes masculine tailored dinner jackets and an interplay of black and white, while the satin suits are tinged red and fuchsia.
