A new creative mind joins the line-up of talents selected by Trussardi to reinterpret its stylistic codes for this Fall/Winter 20/21. Ilenia Durazzi, the designer chosen for this season, outlines her own idea of femininity with this collection.
An immersion into Trussardi’s archives led her to recount the stylistic codes conceived for a strong and self-conscious woman in her very unique way. A daily-use-conceived wardrobe, which however preserves the elegance and sensuality embedded into nightgowns. A no frills style echoes the modern and functional gist of Italian rationalism.
Silhouettes are a game of volume oversize-free counterpositions, and lengths. Fluid abstract- printed gowns recall the sophistication and comfort of sleeping garments. The emphasized shapes unfold archive floral prints, which were never released before. A feminine audacity shows through masculine-shaped tailored dresses or uniform-like elements such as a leather skirt with a macro-patched pocket coupled with a basic shirt of white nappa. The outerwear pieces oriented to functionality follow the moments of the day, from the mini puffer jacket to the trench-shaped double-breasted coat.
Accessories, Trussardi’s DNA distinctive elements, are declined into reptile-printed mini and box bags, as well as leather buckets. Shoes range from colour blocked riding boots to sandals conceived for the winter season.
