Colombian renowned label, GLORY ANG, has showcased for the first time on the physical Arab Fashion Week calendar after being featuring previously on the digital calendar. The Colombian brand in Spring Summer 2022 collection, titled “Magical Creatures” has managed to capture everything to reflect femininity, fun and sensuality; It is full of Caribbean love and expressive colors, worthy of to represent the South American country. The Magical Creatures Collection is created for the real woman who with her curves, beyond her silhouette or height, is a fun, enthusiastic and festive woman. A woman who wants to escape the traditional and attract attention by feeling feminine, elegant and sensual. Since its first debut on the digital calendar the brand has seen popularity in the Middle East and buyers from across the region and media from America have flown to Dubai to welcome the brand to the region. |
The last highlight of the day was the French-Beirut based designer, Eric Ritter, creative director of EMERGENCY ROOM, has taken through his “Neverland” collection the runway to an unexpected show. The sustainable approach of the brand from upcycled fabric to inclusive choice of mannequins has been clearly reflected on the choreography, models casting, music and video. The brand casted clients, fans, and supporters to walk the runway on a voice over music track by the creative director telling the story of his beloved Beirut and the hard situation his Lebanese community is passing through describing the golden age of Beirut in the past and failed state the county is facing now, the story of being forced to leave the country and the resistance to stay. The majority of the models were those who left the country, that Eric decided to reunite on the runway at the Arab Fashion Week. The collection was created from upcycled fabric and bed sheets to feature streetwear looks that is appreciated mainly by the edgy creative community in Lebanon which could be easily loved by other cultures in Europe and America. Short-cropped jackets, nude shirts, cropped pants and mini-shirts, obviously androgynous and genderless are the highlights of the Neverland collection, with fusion of colors and different fabric. |
