Beirut, 02 May 2023 – Sagesse Sports Club – Beirut has signed a three-season advertising contract with “Promomedia” part of “JGroup Holding”, the leading Out-of-Home advertising company across the Levant and Africa. Under the agreement, Promomedia will market the club’s activities and matches in football and basketball, as well as advertisements within Antoine Choueiri Stadium – Ghazir.
President Elie Yahchouchi, signed the contract on behalf of Sagesse Club, with Vice President Attorney Kamil Saadeh, Secretary Elie Nassar, Head of Marketing Committee Jihad Saba, and Media Advisor Bashara Khairallah in attendance. Patrick Haber, Vice President of JGroup and General Manager of PromoMedia, signed on behalf of the company, with Joseph Sfeir from the group and the company also present.
The aim of the agreement is to secure the necessary marketing for the club’s activities and advertisements within Antoine Choueiri Stadium – Ghazir, and to establish a partnership between the two parties in the field of sports and marketing.
Sagesse Sports Club – Beirut is one of Lebanon’s oldest clubs that holds a significant place in Lebanese, Arab, and Asian history. The club was established in 1943 and is actively involved in football and basketball. It has been recognized with the Lebanese Order of Merit award twice and has won numerous titles, including the Lebanese Championship title eight times in basketball, the Lebanese Cup competition title seven times, the Arab Clubs Championship twice, and the Western Championship title thrice. In addition to these, the club has also won the Asian Championship title thrice, as well as various international tournament titles in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Kuwait, Syria, and Qatar. The Asian Confederation awarded the club the title of the best professional club in basketball in 1999, and it also participated in the World Club Championship the same year. It is noteworthy that Sagesse Sports Club has the most extensive fan base in Asia in basketball. Furthermore, the club has won the Lebanese Football Championship twice.
PromoMedia, founded in 2006, is a leading company in the media and advertising field in the Middle East and Africa. It exclusively handles advertisements within Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut and was the first to offer LED advertising screens, large billboards on roads, and rooftops in over 5,000 locations in the Middle East and Africa.
During the signing ceremony, Patrick Haber expressed his satisfaction in investing and expanding in Lebanon, despite the challenges and difficulties facing the country. He highlighted the significance of sports, which will have a dedicated place in Promomedia, stating that they will work to develop sports-related advertisements in Lebanon and the Arab world.
