Beirut, 1 March 2022 – Miss Serbia Nikolina Baljak was crowned Miss Europe 2022 during an exquisite ceremony at Hilton Hotel Beirut hosted, organized, and sponsored by renowned American businessman and investor Yassin K. Fawaz. The event was attended by the reigning Miss Universe Spain 2021 Sarah Loinaz Marjani, as well as VIP guests, and media representatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Yassin K. Fawaz, also known as “King Rolodex” on Social Media said: “Lebanon is mired in an unprecedented Economic crisis which has driven a lot of the people into poverty, and had a big impact on society.” He added: “My aim is to bring back the former glory of Lebanon through world class events such as Miss Europe. Such initiatives will create jobs and encourage investments in our dear country.”
Miss Europe and the runners-up received cash prizes and other rewards thanks to Mr. Fawaz, the main sponsor of the event. The winner will represent Europe and gain exclusive access to a select number of events related to the fashion industry in some of Europe’s most important cities such as Milan, Paris, Madrid and London.
“This is one of the best moments in my life, thanks for everyone who supported me,” said Baljak after being crowned. She added: “I would especially like to thank Mr. Yassin K. Fawas for the hosting such an amazing event.”
For her part, Miss Universe Spain 2021 Sarah Loinaz Marjani said: “Miss Europe 2022 is a unique platform for showcasing women’s empowerment.” She added: “This competition took place in Lebanon despite the crisis to show that Lebanon can rise once more.”
The 26-year old beauty hails from Novi Sad in Serbia. She enjoys reading, music, dancing, and yoga. The first runner-up is Miss Spain, Maya De Los Desambarados Litran Esteve, the second runner-up is Miss Macedonia, Mija Sterjovska, the third runner-up is Miss Russia Alevtina Bubnova, the fourth runner-up is Miss Portugal, Paula Fernanda Assunçao, and the fifth runner-up is Miss Ukraine, Tamara Stasiulevych.
The success of the prestigious Miss Europe 2022 ceremony was made possible through the funding and unique connections of Mr. Fawaz notably in Europe and the Middle East.
“King Rolodex”, who boast millions of followers on Instagram and Tiktok, has become a charity leader and renowned figure in Lebanese society thanks to his endeavors to help the needy, the sick, and the poor people affected by Lebanon’s crisis.
