ACUA Association for Collaborative Unified Aims hosted a Christmas event in the Medawar area of Karantina, Beirut on December 19th with the presence and participation of the Governor of Beirut, the Judge Marwan Abboud, distinguished personalities and the residents of the neighborhood for the lighting of the exceptional Christmas tree as a symbol of national unity.
The night was marked by numerous speeches by the Beirut Governor, Judge Abboud, the President of ACUA, Rola Fadel, and the ACUA Media Coordinator, May Ziadeh, and performances by the Tania Kassis Academy, the USJ Faculty of Dentistry and the La Vida Fiesta. The event was hosted by Tony Baroud and at its center lay the magnificent tree in all its glory.
The tree was designed and executed by Dori Hitti Architects in collaboration with ACUA. It was conceptualized as an emblem of national unity and strength in the aftermath of the destructive August 4th blast, because “Together, Hand in Hand, We Rise, and We Stand.”
