BEIRUT, Lebanon – Global venture firm and startup accelerator, gener8tor, in partnership with the Asher Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) announced the inaugural ACIE HealthTech Accelerator. The accelerator focuses on early-stage companies working primarily in the healthtech, biotech and foodtech spaces.
ACIE HealthTech Accelerator is a free five-week, no-equity accelerator program that provides startup founders with concierge coaching and access to a network of mentors, customers and investors in the United States. The program is designed to set a path for startups to participate in equity-based accelerator programs and investment opportunities.
The Asher Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will recruit startups nationally for the accelerator in an effort to support Lebanon startups.
“To be partnering with gener8tor in leading the first HealthTech program in Lebanon is a much-needed and timely beacon of hope for Lebanese startups,” said Nancy Saliba, Director of the Asher Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ACIE). “The gener8tor acceleration program offers startups the opportunity to create a venture that is impactful and financially sustainable with the real possibility of opening up markets in the US.”
Together, gener8tor and the Asher Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship aim to bring economic diversity and job growth to Lebanon.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Asher Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to bring this program to life and bolster the technology enabled industries in Lebanon,” said Lauren Usher, gener8tor gBETA Vice President. “We’ve seen the incredible economic impact of this healthtech accelerator in other parts of the world, and we’re excited to bring that same impact to Lebanon.”
