These 3 universities will join the “CMA CGM Excellence Fund for Lebanon”, an ambitious long-term scholarship program.
· The scholars will graduate from Lebanese universities and will be able to pursue their studies at the University of Oxford, King’s College London or Imperial College London.
Following the partnership signed in Beirut between the CMA CGM Group and the Ecole Polytechnique, Mr. Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of the CMA CGM Group, signed in London, a partnership with the University of Oxford, King’s College London, and Imperial College London in the presence of the Lebanese Ambassador in the United Kingdom, H.E. Rami Mortada. This partnership aims at supporting 20 Lebanese students over 3 years. This program is part of the “CMA CGM Excellence Fund for Lebanon”.
The CMA CGM Group, one of Lebanon’s main employers, developed the “CMA CGM Excellence Fund for Lebanon” in 2021 to championing educational success through various scholarships for Lebanese students at leading Lebanese and international universities. Committed to this cause, the CMA CGM Group continues its engagement by creating scholarships for the benefit of Lebanese students pursuing their studies in London and Oxford.
“Education for all”: an essential pillar of the CMA CGM Group in Lebanon
Over the next three years, this agreement will provide an annual support for 20 Lebanese students in an educational program of international excellence. The objective of this program is to encourage the future Lebanese leaders who will be able to return to their homeland after pursuing their education in London and Oxford and join the ranks of leading international groups, such as CMA CGM Group. Enriched by their international experience, they will then play a role in developing their country.
“The CMA CGM Excellence Fund for Lebanon” currently includes Ecole Polytechnique, HEC, AUB, ESA and USJ, and has been joined by the renowned institutions of University of Oxford, King’s College London and Imperial College London. 145 Lebanese students a year from all partner universities will be able to pursue their studies at prestigious universities in the UK, France and Lebanon.
