Prague, 6 March 2025 – Lasvit, the award-winning artisan and design house specializing in glassmaking, is delighted to reveal further details of its Salone del Mobile 2025 presentation.
At Euroluce 2025, Lasvit introduces LOOMO, a new lighting collection designed by the brand’s Art Director Maxim Velčovský. Inspired by textile craftsmanship, LOOMO translates the delicate texture of woven fabric into sculptural lighting, where glass and light intertwine to create an ambient glow.
A Glow Woven in Gold
Though smooth to the touch, LOOMO’s surface carries the visual depth of a structured weave, capturing the essence of fabric in glass. This interplay of texture and illumination results in a contemporary design object that seamlessly blends materiality with ethereal light.
LOOMO is available in two wall sconce sizes, each defined by a distinctive golden hue that enhances its circular form. The soft illumination accentuates its intricate detailing, making it an elegant addition to intimate settings and eclectic interiors alike. Designed to evoke the flowing movement of fabric, LOOMO drapes light as threads might weave through a tapestry.
Maxim Velčovský, known for his ability to reinterpret everyday objects with a sense of irony and historical reference, brings a unique perspective to LOOMO. By distilling the immaterial qualities of fabric into light, he crafts a dialogue between tradition and modernity—where past and present are interwoven in glass.
Experience LOOMO and Lasvit’s full presentation at Euroluce 2025, Hall 6, Stand C39 D38, from April 8–13, 2025.
