Rebirth Beirut is proud to announce its upcoming solo exhibition entitled “Curves” by Nabil Richani and curated by Dr. Tony Karam, opening on November 6, 2025, from 6 PM to 9 PM at the Rebirth Beirut’s Cultural Space in Gemmayze.
With a unique artistic vision and profound craftsmanship, Nabil Richani transforms wood, stone, bronze and other raw elements into living soul-stirring sculptures. His works narrate beauty through motion, form, and emotion, breathing life into matter and blurring the line between the tangible and the metaphysical.
Born in 1960, Richani is a Lebanese artist who holds a Master’s degree in Agriculture/ Floriculture from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Lebanese University (LU). His artistic journey started at an early age, crafting shapes from garden soil and drawing with crayons, later evolving into clay sculptures and oil paintings. Richani has held several solo exhibitions and participated in notable collective shows alongside prominent artists.
He was commissioned by the Saloua Raouda Choucair Foundation to execute sculptural pieces for the late artist’s museum, and he is also the second-prize recipient in the MACAM National Competition “The Age of Wood”, praised by art critic Cesar Nammour for his exceptional ability to “convey inner life and animate the spaces within his works through light and shadow.”
In “Curves”, Richani showcases an intimate selection inspired by the feminine form and the unseen layers of the human spirit — sculptures that reveal secrets beyond the obvious and celebrate the mystery and grace of existence.
Founder & President of Rebirth Beirut Mr. Gaby Fernaine expressed his pride in hosting this exhibition, saying:
“At Rebirth Beirut, we believe in the power of art not only as a reflection of beauty and emotion, but also as a force for healing and rebuilding. We are honored to welcome the exceptional work of Nabil Richani, whose talent breathes life into materials and invites us to feel, reflect, and elevate our senses.”
As part of Rebirth Beirut’s mission, a portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will go towards supporting the organization’s ongoing efforts to restore and rehabilitate the city’s infrastructure, mainly lighting the streets of Beirut.
