March 15, 2019 – Phoenicia Hotel welcomed art enthusiasts to Cascade Lounge on Wednesday March 13th for the opening exhibition of traditional Japanese origami art created by Mrs. Takako Matahiro Yamaguchi, spouse of H.E. the Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon.
The event is the latest initiative to fall under the hotel’s long-established support of the creative arts, and forms part of its dedication to using art as a way of engaging minds, nurturing creativity and bringing people together.
Guests mingled in Cascade Lounge, where in an atmosphere of calm, sophistication and warm hospitality they admired Mrs. Yamaguchi’s works of art. Prior to the opening exhibition on the same afternoon, Mrs. Yamaguchi had hosted an origami workshop in which she shared techniques and expertise related to this traditional art of folding paper whose origins and mastery are most closely associated with Japan.
The exhibition will be on display for another four weeks at Cascade Lounge.
