Led by Conductor Amal Guermazi, Mazzika Heads to Paris for a Special Bataclan Concert Featuring the Classics of Fairuz
Geneva — January 26, 2026:
Mazzika Orchestra opened its 2026 world tour in Geneva with ““Nights of the East and the Maghreb”, a high-calibre concert that bridged musical colors from the East and the Maghreb to a strong public response. The evening concluded with a standout surprise appearance by internationally renowned rai star Kader Japonais, in a celebratory finale that left a lasting impression on the audience.
The Geneva concert marks the start of Mazzika’s first tour of the year, which will travel from Geneva to New York, with stops in Paris, Brussels, and other European cities.
A major highlight of the itinerary is Paris, where the orchestra will perform on February 7 at the historic Bataclan theatre in a concert dedicated to the songs of Fairuz. Mazzika will present a selection of her timeless works in orchestral arrangements that honor the originals while offering fresh musical perspective.
The Paris engagements continue on February 10 at Le Figuier Blanc with Nights of the East, a musical journey celebrating Arabic classical singing and the richness and diversity of Eastern musical traditions.
Looking ahead, Amal Guermazi, Mazzika’s conductor, said the new year will bring “many surprises,” particularly on the artistic front, with performances delivered in a renewed spirit and refreshed identity, alongside new collaborations with top-tier artists from across the Arab world—part of a wider vision to broaden Mazzika’s horizons and strengthen its international presence.
