Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and member of the Dubai Council, emphasised the significance of commemorating International Museum Day. They play a vital role in heritage preservation, documenting history, and transmitting knowledge to future generations, making them indispensable and influential institutions. Her Highness said: “Museums are not just buildings that display historical artefacts. She commended the wise leadership’s vision and the unique approach that has qualified the emirate to host the 27th General Conference of ICOM 2025, which marks a historic achievement for the country.
