Beirut, 2026 — Under the title “As We Exist,” visual artist Hiba El-Khatib Badreddine inaugurates the year with a remarkable solo exhibition held at Rebirth Beirut, in the heart of the capital. The exhibition takes place with the support of Dr. Tony Karam and is organized by Organiss Management.
Breaking away from traditional exhibition formats, the opening introduced an innovative catwalk-style presentation of artworks, transforming the gallery space into a dynamic visual journey. The moving display offered visitors an immersive and unconventional experience, redefining the relationship between artwork and viewer. This bold concept was met with enthusiastic engagement from the audience, marking a fresh and forward-looking step within the contemporary visual art scene.
Through her works, El-Khatib Badreddine delivers social and philosophical reflections on humanity that transcend time and place. She adopts collage as her primary medium, embracing the freedom it provides beyond rigid artistic conventions while maintaining strong technical precision. For the artist, art is above all a vehicle for emotion and meaning.
With a rebellious creative spirit emerging from within a largely traditional Eastern society, El-Khatib Badreddine finds in collage a space to articulate her imagination, dreams, and personal philosophy of life. As she describes it, collage is an art form that “transports us to another place.”
In alignment with Rebirth Beirut’s social mission, a portion of the exhibition’s proceeds will be dedicated to supporting the organization’s initiatives aimed at rehabilitating Beirut’s infrastructure and restoring light to its streets—reaffirming the belief that art can play an active role in reviving the city’s spirit.
The exhibition runs until January 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays.
