Beirut – December 16, 2016: As part of its customer loyalty program, T. Gargour & Fils invited its most loyal customers in the commercial vehicles sector in 2016 to a VIP trip to Stuttgart, Germany, where they discovered the Mercedes-Benz iconic production facilities and museum.
On this occasion, Mr. Cesar Aoun, General Manager of Mercedes-Benz and smart at T. Gargour & Fils said: “Our customers are the foundation of our success and they remain at the heart of our mission. The VIP trip included a visit to the Mercedes-Benz car assembly in Sindelfingen which is considered to be Mercedes-Benz’s largest plant in the world and which includes a dedicated research and development center specifically for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The tour also enabled the visitors to enter the amazing world of automobile and vehicle production as they personally witnessed the manufacturing and installation process of the different vehicle parts from start to finish, and further examined a large number of robots that were assembling and putting together the different mechanisms.
The group also enjoyed a guided tour at the Mercedes-Benz Museum which archives over 130- years of motor vehicles history since the beginning of its manufacturing date up till today. This once in a lifetime experience stunned the guests as they realized that they were in a place that reflected the past, present and future mirrored by a modernist philosophy underlying the museum’s geometric space.
The highlight of the trip was the guided Tour of Wörth Plant, the world’s largest truck assembly plant where more than three million commercial vehicles have been produced since 1960. The Wörth plant is also home to the iconic Actros. The Actros is the worldwide renowned bestselling heavy duty truck in history. The guests were fully briefed about the stages of the production and assembly. The factory produces a wide range of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles including Actros, Arocs, Antos, Atego, Econic, Unimog, and Zetros.
