Yokohama, Japan (20 April 2026) – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd and Nissan Motorsports & Customizing Co., Ltd. (NMC) announced that the new Patrol NISMO has officially commenced its role as a First Rescue Operation (FRO) vehicle for the 2026 Super GT series. The high-performance SUV made its track debut during Round 1 at Okayama International Circuit in Japan.
FRO vehicles play a vital role in track safety, designed to transport drivers, medical professionals, and rescue personnel swiftly and securely to the scene of any on-track incident.
Renowned globally for its durability and capability in demanding conditions, the Patrol nameplate brings its legendary strength to the circuit in a new, specialized form. The Patrol NISMO FRO builds on that foundation with motorsport-derived tuning and engineering, delivering a high-precision SUV that refined road composure with purpose-built track performance.
The Patrol NISMO model features a specially tuned 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine producing 495 hp and 700 Nm of torque. Enhanced by aerodynamic exterior styling and dedicated suspension setup, the Patrol NISMO FRO offers sharp responsiveness and commanding acceleration, ensuring it meets the rigorous demands of emergency response..

The 2026 SUPER GT season consists of eight races held across six Japanese circuits and one international venue. Following its successful debut at the Okayama International Circuit on April 12, the Patrol NISMO FRO will support the remainder of the series, which concludes on November 8 at Mobility Resort Motegi.
